Day 10/11

Day 10: - Glencoe to Inverness, this was a loooooooooong day, JP is currently bragging that he has gone 850miles before his bike finally had a mechanical failure, today the bearings on his back wheel gave up the ghost and he has been diagnosed with a dead bottom bracket. This is apparently great as he hasn't had punctures the whole trip, and yet I have had 4. Well little does he know that tomorrow I shall sabotage his bike with many needles. Teach him a lesson.

On a serious note his bike has done well. We went along Loch Lomund and Loch Ness today, it was pretty long and I had another puncture.....whoop. 5 days on the trot now we have had 90-100 miles. We are feeling every last one of them. So all of you out there that think we are off on some jolly holiday, jog on, we are suffering, and you are getting your money's worth. However you should all donate another £400 so we make our target.

On a side note our support driver, who has had the most welcome coffee I have ever received, today he has buggered off up Ben Nevis and left us for dead. Well the jokes on him, we are doing great.......no we aren't that's a bluff.

That brings us to today, the penultimate day now, an easy 70 miles, we left late after a nice lie in,after staying in a shitty hostel the night before so good nights sleep, up late though as I was pretty tired. Then it was off at 10am, we blasted the first 20miles, then a short stop later we were somehow 50miles through the day by 2pm without even blinking. Then the hills started, it was up and up and up and up. We are currently in Helmsdale, 55miles short of JoG. So we will soon be ready to blast it out. We are going to be flying out of the 4 star luxury hostel at 7am and hammer our way to JoG and then we will be done by 1pm and then off to Edinburgh for an evening of relaxation before the ride down.

£300 left to raise. So please dig deep and blast our way to the target.

See ya
Kyle
